31 Days of Living by Faith, Day 1 – Introduction

Welcome to 31 Days of Living by Faith.  I am glad you are here.  Now, don’t flip out over the title and run away.  Whether you have no faith, little faith, or great faith, this month is for you.

Sometimes we hear about God performing miracles and we clap our hands and say “Yay God!”, but we do not think He will give us a miracle.  We read the stories in the Bible and see men and women of old leading lives full of faith and we dismiss it as ancient history, not applicable for today.

But this month, you are going to see God work in the lives of your bloggy neighbors.  After 31 Days, you won’t just be saying “Yay God” for someone elses miracle, but you will be begging God for a miracle of your own.

Now you know I can’t write meaningful posts for thirty-one straight days, so I have enlisted some help from a handful of the most amazing women I know.  If you read this month, you will be blessed.  I think I can go out on a limb and promise you that.

Assuming we’ll have lots of extra visitors to The Domestic Fringe, each day I will be adding a photo and a short biography to go along with the posts.  I want you to not only read the stories of faith from these women, but I want you to see that they are regular ordinary people.  We do not think we have arrived.  We do not know everything.  We simply attempt to believe God.

Sometimes we think people of faith are somehow different from us, but everyone who will be writing this month is a regular woman leading a crazy life with wonky moments of pain, suffering, joy, and love.  Just. Like. You.

These next 31 Days will be an adventure.  I imagine you’ll leave in tears one day and be laughing the next.  No two stories will be the same, but they will all be united by the common thread of faith.

Will you join us?

I am praying you will.  It is my goal that after these 31 Days of Faith, you will step into November encouraged, with your faith strengthened.

Invite your friends, pass the word along, and help make October a life-changing month.

Tricia is a wife, mother, and wanna-be writer.  She authors The Domestic Fringe.  She also tries really hard not to burn the house down every time she cooks.  Some days go better than others, but no matter what, she knows God loves her and cares for her.  She sincerely hopes this will be a good month, a month to praise God for what He has done and what He is going to do.  She wants you to know that she’s honored you are taking the time to read, and she wants you to feel free to leave comments.
