Beauty Box 5 – March Review

Don’t you love to try out new beauty products?

I do, but what I don’t love is spending money on a full-size product only to discover it’s not right for me. That’s such a bummer.

Beauty Box 5 changes all that. It’s a subscription based service that introduces you to products you may not have tried before; however, it’s a sampling. Each month you will receive a mix of five trial-sized products. It’s like Christmas morning when the box arrives. I’m not sure who loves it more – my daughter or myself!

All Natural Soap

My daughter loved this soap. She swiped it from me right away and then she shared the label with her friends, so they could get some too. These soaps are handmade and lather nicely. I can’t quite put the scent into words, but it’s wonderful. It’s very strong, but in a good way. Because this soap lathers so well, it can also be used for shaving cream. I thought that was pretty cool. My daughter used it on her feet. She has the smelliest feet ever, and this soap worked. I need to buy a case!

Shea Body Butter

Loved this. It smells like the islands. If I sit close to a heater and rub this cream all over my arms, I can almost imagine I’m in the Bahamas. Now, I don’t know what the Bahamas smells like, because I’ve never been there, but I’m pretty sure it smells like this cream. It’s thick and rich and very moisturizing. Loved it! I would buy a full size bottle.

Bellapierre Makeup Base

This is an all-in-one base that can be used as a concealer, illuminator, and eyeshadow primer. It’s the product you throw in your purse and use throughout the day. the texture reminds me of lip balm. I know that sounds crazy, but that’s what I thought every time I used it. I basically used it as a concealer. It’s a little shimmery. I’m not sold on this product. I just don’t think it was for me.

H2O Plus Hand & Nail Cream

Loved it. Again, my daughter swiped this one on me, but I used it several times and it’s extremely moisturizing. Leaves your hands feeling silky smooth. Two thumbs-up from me.

Swissco Dual-sided Facial Pad

I’m sure this is nice, but I’m not really into using one of these pads on my face. I’m giving it to my daughter for her feet!
