I don’t like to pay a lot of money for trendy items of clothing. Heck, I don’t like to pay a lot of money for classic items of clothing that I will wear for the next ten years.
I guess I’m cheap.
Last week I took my son out shopping for shorts. Our first stop was Kmart. It’s close and it’s inexpensive. Unfortunately he didn’t find any shorts in his size. He hovers between children’s sizes and men’s sizes, not a great place to be when you’re clothes shopping.
All he found were a pair of .99 cent flip-flops and I ended getting those for free with reward points. Now, Kmart, I’m sorry, but your reward points confuse the heck out of me. I get emails saying I have points, but when I go to the store, they’ve magically disappeared. I can’t figure the system out, but after my free flip-flop purchase, the cashier told me I had about nine dollars in reward money left.
I love free money.
So I did the good motherly thing and sent my kids off to pick something out. Neither kid wanted anything. It was a Christmas miracle. I was in a store and had a free nine dollars.
Now, I’m not a fan of Kmart’s clothes, but I can always find something.
Shirt: Kmart, Jeans: Kohl’s, Flip-Flops: Wal-Mart
I shop fancy.
And, I have a farmer’s tan.
Have you found any deals lately?
