Inspired by Jessie from Dream & Differ who always looks adorable, I decided to dress for the season I want.
I dug through my closet and attempted to find some bright colors that could still be layered and warm, because don’t let the calendar fool you, it’s still winter in these parts. In fact, it’s snowing as I’m typing.
My daughter wanted to show off her new spring sandals. Aren’t they adorable?
They were a gift from Grandma from Payless.
If you’re new around here, today is What I Wore Wednesday and I join The Pleated Poppy and hundreds of other women in documenting what I wore. It’s attempt to get out of the yoga pants, and in my case, the fluffy pink bathrobe and wear real. honest to goodness outfits.
Some days go smashingly and other, well, not so much. I try to show it all – the good, the bad, and the ugly.
The sweater and long-sleeved t-shirt are both Target (a few years old) and the jeans are Old Navy.
Now, some have said that Old Navy jeans are a gateway to the mom jean. All I know is that last summer I bought these for under $10 dollars and they are comfortable. At this point, that’s good enough for me.
If you’re worried that the black thing hanging off my pocket is a retro 90’s beeper, wonder no more. You can read all about my month on a heart monitor in this post.
And don’t worry. I promise not to sport a fanny pack next.
I don’t how you girls take pictures outside. It’s like a wind tunnel.
I thought the “No Face – All Face” side-by-side photo was humorous.
I don’t think I like this jacket on me and I’m not sure why. I love pretty spring colors, but every time I see a picture of myself wearing this jacket, I don’t like it.
Maybe I should pass it on?
What do you think.
It was a hand-me-down to begin with.
Jeans: Kohl’s, T-shirt: GAP (last season), Sparkly Shoes: K-mart (last season) Bird Scarf: Charming Charlies
This outfit has a lot of trends – colored pants, polka dots, and a circle scarf.
I just woke up and decided to wear all my favorite things at once.
Don’t let the sunshine fool you. It was freezing.
My mom took this picture and she’s not a natural with cameras, so she was trying to figure things out and my nose and eyes were running like crazy. I couldn’t wait to get in the car and blast the heat!
Pants, shirt, and scarf: Kohl’s
I am so glad I found that polka dot skirt on the clearance rack in the GAP last spring. It’s really pretty in person, nicer than on camera.
It has several thin layers of a tule and is flowy and fun.
Her coat is from Land’s End online and her shoes are from Target.
I was going to wear my pretty Easter dress from last year, but my wires wouldn’t work with it, so I picked a comfortable outfit instead.
My outfit is all Target and the shoes (which I adore) are Miz Mooz (better photo here).
I bought my daughter’s dress last Easter at the Children’s Place and I am super-pleased it still fits.
That’s what we wore this week!
What about you?
Is it flip-flop weather where you live?
I cannot wait to paint my toenails and put on a pair flip-flops. Can’t wait!
Spring, please come quickly.
