Cool Looks for Winter
Cold weather means bundling up to stay warm. We have to omit some of our favorite looks, saving them for sunnier times, but don’t fret! Layering, thick fabrics, fuzzy boots and hats, and adorably cozy accessories are amazing treats we don’t get to bust out until the winter months. With the right combinations, you’ll have heads turning to see who the new snow queen is!
Layering is cool all year long, but it is especially handy in the winter because it combines fashion with functionality. A few colorful tanks give you the bright pop you need under a cute, preppy cardigan or a loose, off-shoulder sweater. Offset the good-girl quality of your tops with a pair of skinny jeans. Add a pair of thick, patterned tights underneath for added warmth and an edgy, artsy look to your destroyed denim as well. Complete your ensemble with a long chain necklace that has an awesome charm!
Speaking of tights, everyone should own a pair or twenty! Combining tights with a classic mini skirt, scrunched socks, and booties is a look straight from the ’90s. Tights can also give your summer shorts a few more months of life by keeping your legs toasty while you wear them. Tights without feet, or leggings, are great for layering but also for lounging around the house with a cup of cocoa and your favorite book. They come in a plethora of colors and patterns so there’s truly something for everyone.
Tie your look together with the perfect winter accessories and shoes. This may be the only season you can get away with fuzzy cuteness, so rock an animal hat to keep warm and look cute doing it. Berets and slouch hats are classic, and a black or gray one will never let you down. Scarves can give off a private school vibe or make you look like a bohemian princess, depending on the print you choose. Don’t forget about sunglasses! They’re so important in the winter, especially if you live in a snowy climate. Ray bans and over-sized shades compliment any and every face shape.
Contrary to what you may think, winter doesn’t have to be a gloomy time of year full of frumpy and bulky clothes. Your look is going to rock this winter, so let it snow, mama!
