I love Tyler Rodan purses. They are the best affordable purses I’ve ever bought.
Now, I’m not much of a name brand person. If you ask me what brands I like, I really wouldn’t have any idea. I can tell you what stores I shop in (secret: it’s the cheap ones), but I don’t pay much attention to brands.
So, when I say I like a certain brand of something, it’s kind of a big deal. The fact that I even checked the brand means I really liked it.
This is not a sponsored post. I’m not making a dime from telling you how much I like my purse, but I love to share a good thing. Heck, I even had my husband take dorky pictures of me and my bag. Now, you know that’s gotta be love.
A few years ago I went purse shopping and bought a mustard yellow Tyler Rodan bag. That was the birthday saga that started with my own personal Pampered Chef and ended with one “pissed off” (and I quote the doctor’s words) foot. I loved that purse and was still using it, despite the stains, until I went to Georgia this past February.
My aunt couldn’t believe I still had the same bag and that it held up so well. The only problem is that the color was fairly light and I couldn’t fully clean it, so it was getting a little yucky. I’m not very careful with my bags. They end up on the floor all the time.
So, my aunt sat in her little cocoon on the couch and shopped the internet where she found and ordered me this new bag by the same designer. Happy birthday to me!
Jeans & Jacket: Target (very old), T-shirt: Thrifted, White Shirt: Loft, Bracelet: Local, Bag: Belks (0nline)
This particular bag was on clearance, so they don’t have it anymore. They do have a similar bag at Macy’s, but it’s not blue.
This purse has a pretty liner, three main compartments, one being zippered and a space, right up front, for my phone. It’s not too big or bulky and yet, it fits all the junk I carry and still has room for my kid’s stuff. Because you know, moms always end up carrying kid crap.
The necklace has nothing to do with anything, but it matches the bag. Is that too matchy-matchy, like matching a purse and shoes?
Who cares, right? Shhhhh…don’t tell the fashion bloggers I said that.
Do you have a purse you absolutely love? What kind is it??
I think the style bag I’m carrying is a hobo bag (I’m not even sure), but it’s probably my favorite style purse. What kind do you like?
Also, this post will be linked to The Pleated Poppy’s What I Wore Wednesday and Jo-Lynne Shane’s Fashion Friday.
I love that purse. It is gorgeous!!!!! One of my fave colors right now too!
I’m officially jealous!! I’ve been looking for a bag this color for months! I wasn’t aware of the designer, but I like his stuff very much, now that I’ve checked him out :). Found the same bag in a cool red….and black….but I have those colors already! I’ll keep trying!
That bag is such a perfect color! J’adore cobalt!
I’m thrifty at heart so buy a lot of Vera Bradley secondhand, but my splurge came with my favorite purse — a Coach handbag that I bought after my first big story sale. Its shape is a bit of a bowling bag style and it’s perfect. However, it’s time to retire the bag to the closet shelf and I’m still in search of a replacement that won’t cost me a lung. I’ll check out your Fight Club bag. What? You didn’t say Tyler Durden?
I love the blue!!!! I’m so bad at changing bags. Maybe because I still have toddlers? Sippy cups, babies, and all else end up there. I do have a laminate navy polka dot cross body bag that I got at target last spring. Not too big, not too small and I get tons if compliments on it. Why? I’m not sure. Blue is a great color for you!
Pretty bag. Love the color.
Have a great week!

I am absolutely enjoying all your blogs! About this one, where many women likes shoes and have closets full of them, I am a “purse” person. I, like you, do not go for brands..but what is reasonable or cheap. I love the purses you have shown!! Looking forward to all your blogs!! Love your sense of humor.. My all time favorite blog is the one “How I Taught My Children to Sit Still In Church”. I have shared that with many of the new mommies around here… I learned that also (with out the blogs– since my kids are all grown now). That was wonderful advice.
Thank you Karla! It’s so sweet of you to leave me a comment and let me know how that you’re enjoying the blog. I really appreciate it. I look forward to getting to connect with you more on the blog. Hope you have a great day!
