Let’s talk about shoes for a moment, shall we?
I tend to wear cheap shoes. This has never been a problem for me. I don’t have health issues that involve my feet or back, so cheap shoes have worked for me, until recently. I’ve begun to notice the difference between cheap shoes and shoes that cost slightly more. It’s not necessarily in looks, although it could be. It’s in comfort.
When I’m in a pair of cheap, plastic shoes all day, my feet hurt. I think it has something to do with my descent to forty, but that topic is off limits today.
I feel like I could walk a mile in these without my feet hurting. The sign of a good shoe is when you forget you’re wearing any shoes and that’s how I feel about these J. Renee Faron Wedges.
I don’t even know I’m wearing heels, because they walk like flats.
We’ve already established how terribly clumsy I am, so a good shoe seems like a smart investment. I’ll certainly be rethinking my footwear options in the future.
Pants: Kohl’s, Shirt: Hand-me-Down, Necklace: Gift from my daughter, Shoes: Same as Above
Jeans: Old Navy, Shirt: GAP, Jacket: Same as Above, Boots: As seen here
I spent at least one full day in paint clothes. If you’re wondering what that looks like, think pj bottoms, wild hair, and my husband’s undershirt. Ya, not worth a photo.
Dress: C/O eShakti, Boots (? old), Leggings: Vera Wang at Kohl’s.

That’s what I wore this Wednesday. You can head on over to the Pleated Poppy for more fashion inspiration.
What are your favorite types of shoes to wear?
Do you buy any old pair or do you take your time and invest in a good shoe?
Love your outfits and the shoes! Total score being cute and comfy!!! I used to wear shoes I loved, even at the cost of suffering with blisters. But several years ago, my mom and I were shopping at an outlet mall and I tried on a pair of black leather flip-flops by Clarks. It went beyond like…it was heavenly! Only problem is that I knew my hubs wouldn’t understand $50 for flip-flops…we really couldn’t afford that luxury. My mama knew her baby was smitten and had to have them, so by her generosity, my feet got treated to those awesome shoes. Now I know the value of paying a little more! BTW, I still have a pair of black booties I had back in high school! Man, I feel old…experiencing the fashions coming back around! 🙂
Finding shoes that are pretty and comfortable is like spotting unicorn – We believe deep down they exist, but..LOL! BTW, Love these wedges – first I thought they are flats, but such a surprise heel!! Love all ur outfits here! Hope you are having a wonderful day!

So funny! Now every time I’m trying on shoes, I’ll see unicorns dancing in my head. 😉
Today is pretty good so far. Thank you! Hope your day is wonderful too.

Uncomfortable shoes aren’t worth having, even if someone gave them to you!!!!! I like cute shoes as well as the next girl, but if they aren’t comfy?? Ain’t gonna be on these feet. So, pay the extra money and give your feet a break. Besides, if your feet hurt, your whole body and soul are thrown out of whack!!
Oh, and I do love those shoes.
Sounds like good advice Sue! Thank you.
Cute shoes! And I really like your military jacket–it really takes a simple outfit to another level.
Thanks Holly. I’ve been enjoying the jacket too. I wear it nearly every day. And, the shoes have gone with so many outfits. I love them!

Such cute outfits, Tricia! 🙂
And about cheap shoes, who doesn’t like pair of cute, cheap shoes.
lol. I know exactly what you’re saying, but I’ve tended to lean heavily on the side of cute shoes and I think I need to balance it out a bit more. You know?
